Merry Christmas

Hello everyone,

Christmas is not far away...and I have been loving creating Christmas cards...
I love zentangle and doodling a lot...
I have also been loving chevron pattern lately...
I thought of combining the two...

So here is the card...

A few more pics of the card and the baubles...

First, I drew the baubles and filled them in with some patterns. Then I drew the chevron border with the White Sakura marker (I am loving it). Then added some hand lettering.

But something seemed to be missing. I wished I could add a baker's twine. But I don't have any....so...I took some embroidery thread and coloured it with a red marker.

Hope you all like it.

Doodles and Watercolour Card

Hello crafters,

Lately I have been going by the "Less is more" mantra...
I made a simple card with minimum supplies yesterday
I saw this ombre watercolour background from my earlier watercolour experiments lying around my craft table and came up with this layout. Adhered the watercolour panels to black cardstock to add some contrast.

For the front panel, the doodled with correction pen first. But the design was hardly visible on the background. So I went over it with a 02 micron tip pen.

Here is a close-up of the doodle...

And another pic of the card...

Blue Christmas

Hello everyone,

My mom came to visit me for 2 wonderful weeks. We had some great time shopping and having fun.
But that also meant no time for crafting...I wasnt able to post (or create) anything for the past week.
So today I am here with a quick little card...

I have beautiful border punch that I have been dying to use...I added the punch border to the top.
Next came this cute little penguin stamp. I have paper pieced the cap and the bow...
The rest of the elements being simple, I made the sentiment the focal point here... I added foam tape to the sentiment to give it some dimension
I have hand-cut the little star and coloured with golden acrylic colour...

First Art Journal Page (Beauty)

Hello everyone,

Yesterday I tried something new and I am really excited and happy about it.
Lately I have not been getting enough time to craft. I have been feeling restless because of the lack of creative outlet.
So I thought of giving Art Journalling a try...as it doesn't take much time.

I started by making a simple watercolour background...just some pink...some purple and a hint of red...And I just had to use my rose stencil on it...

Then I started wondering what to write in that empty space and found this quote...
I practiced some handlettering and wrote down the quote...
I gave the beautiful background a twist (to make it my kind of beautiful ;) ) with some tattered paper pieces distressed with Vintage Photo Ink ...

I don't know whether it looks good or not...but it did a hell of a good job calming my restless crafty mind. :D

What do you guys think about my first Art Journalling attempt? Are their any suggestions/tips you like to give?
Leave a comment below. :)

P.S. I blurred the board pins at the corners so that it doesn't distract from the page.
I ended up pinning the page on the display board of my cubicle in office :)
