Coffee Shaker Card

Time for another card for the Summer Coffee Lover's Hop,

Yeah...yeah...I am still hooked to the black cardstock and Sakura moonlight pens combo... :P

But...I made a shaker card this time...Shake...shake...shake...

I cut out a coffee mug shape with a kraft knife...for the card front....
Stamped with Archival Ink for some tone on tone stamping using Stamplorations Bold Sentiments (I know....black on black doesnot sound like a good idea...but I wanted to add a subtle detail as I wanted the bright doodles to be the focus...)

Added some clear sequins for the shaker element... 

I have been hoarding these sequins for 2 years now...finally...used them...phew...

I made a card with cutout of the mug too...do come back to see what I made with it...

Shaker Card with a twist

Hello everyone,

I am back with another Valentine Card...can't stop making them...:D
Shaker cards are very much in trend now...but I have observed that there are very less variations of shaker cards...meaning...it usually an image in the background and an acetate either stitched or adhered with foam tape...

And I always like to give my cards a twist...
So here is my shaker card...

I know what you are thinking...where is the twist?????

And Tada...the twist... it is a see-through shaker card...the image is on the inside of the card...

(My second futile attempt to emphasise that it is see-through :P )

Now that the suspense is over...let me tell you about the all the elements on the card...

The card background - I have used Worn Liptick DI with a circular dauber. I wanted a messy look so I did not try to blend the colour and I also spritzed it with water several time. I have used Vintage Photo DI for the edges of the card. And lastly, I have flicked white acrylic paint with a toothbrush for the white splatter.

The B&W heart - The heart is part of a digi from The Graphic Fairy. I omitted the couple that was in the middle of the heart. Fuzzy cut the image.

Shaker elements - I have used some silver sequins, light pink pearls and small silver balls

The shaker background - I used the heart cut-out from the front panel on the inside of the card. The sentiment is stamped using letters from different stamps.The doodle border is drawn using a Micron tip pen.

Football Shaker/Camera Popup card

Hello everyone,

I just love making interactive and popup cards. So, when I had to make a birthday card for my brother-in-law, I thought of doing both...
I made a shaker + popup card...shaker on the outside....popup on the inside.. :D

There is another combo in this card...My brother-in-law loves football. His favourite club is Chelsea. He is also an avid photographer. So I incorporated both his interests in this card.

I found this layout on Pinterest ( Toni's Adventures )

For the shaker, I printed out small footballs, chelsea logos and cameras and fussy cut them.
I didn't add any glitter or sequins as it would have contradicted with the football theme.

For the inside of the card I made a camera popup...Ohhh...I just love making popups...They are so fun...
I got the template of the camera from ExtremeCards

Here is a final look at the card:

The camera is a vintage one, so I distressed the edges with Vintage Photo for the inside of the card 

To finish off the card, I added a birthday quirky note.

Also I crumpled the blue and green papers a bit on the card front to give it a more rugged look...

Teabag Shaker card

Hello crafters,

Today I am here with a card for a very special person...my dear MOM...
My mom loves her tea..
So I made this card with the theme as tea...

I drew the tea-cups and cut them out of pattern paper...
Added a quirky message "TEA-RRIFIC" ;)
But the card felt incomplete...

So I added a tea-bag...I imitated a real tea-bag...
I made the tea-bag using some packing material (I don't know what material it is...I found it in all the junk I collect ;) )
I filled it with some sequins and stars...

It is a shaker tea-bag. When you shake the card...the contents of the tea-bag shake... :D
Isn't it cool...

Hello everyone,

Here with yet another Christmas card...
This is my second attempt at a shaker card...

This is a pretty simple card...some pattern paper strips...a penguin stamp...some sequins, rhinestones and punched flowers...
