Motorcycle Card Tutorial

Hello everyone,

Today I am here with a tutorial for making a simple and quick Masculine card...
I made this card for a friend recently...

I am using some supplies that scream masculine for me...
Burlap, Corrugated paper which I got from Itsy Bitsy...
The die-cut is from a local store...

Using neutral colours is the safest and simplest way to create a Masculine card...

Start by layering the papers...Don't glue anything yet...

I always start out by laying out everything to see how the final card will look...

At this point, the card looked good...but needed something... I dug through my stash...

See the advantage of not glueing the layers at the beginning...it gives you the liberty to make changes...

Now that I was satisfied with the look,,.I started attaching everything...

I used Mod-Podge to attach burlap...
I attached the Corrugated cardboard with foam tape...to give room for the wooden gear...
The motorbike was also attached with foam tape...and so was the tiny metal charm...

And this is how the final card looks...

I distressed the metal charm with archival ink...

I hope this tutorial was helpful for you...

Neutrals...

Hello,

I find it amusing how I got through phases of a colour theme favourites...sometimes I create cards only with rainbow colours...sometimes only blues...sometimes only neutrals...does this happen to you too?

Right now I am in the neutrals colour theme phase...
Cards with a neutrals colour theme make great masculine cards...

For this card, I have used a pattern paper I bought recently...I am in love with the pattern on this...it also has some copper foiling on it...

Valentine Card

Hi,

My second post for the day...as I was saying...just can't stop making Valentine cards...
For this card, I tried out a few new things...a different type of layout...first time using Washi tape...and also the colour combination

I cut-out panels of brown and grey cardstock and left a gap in between where I stuck the Washi tape.
Fuzzy-cut the rose and coloured it in Worn Lipstick DI...

The first flag label I coloured a piece of white cardstock with Worn Lipstick DI and spritzed it with water and stamped the sentiment in Archival Black Ink. This was mounted on a grey and white flag label.
The second flag label is a piece of washi tape pasted on a peice of white paper.

To finish off the card, I drew a border with white gel pen. I also higlighted the panels with white gel pen
